Words on Wings (लफ्ज़ों के पँख)

Sometimes I ponder
why do I yearn for the sky

Sometimes I wonder
why do I want to fly high

Alas! The world has cut my wings

And pulls me down with its strings

But I am determined to rise

On the wings of my words
 to embark for the land of paradise...

आज इन लफ्ज़ों को ना रोको तुम,

उड़ाने भरने से ना टोको तुम,

चलो तुम्हें भी जन्नत की सैर कराऊँ मैं,

अपने दिल का फ़साना सुनाऊँ मैं,

कभी मेरे लफ्ज़ों के पँखों पर उड़कर तो देखो तुम...
